Adrian Gonzalez, MD, FACP
Dr. Adrian Gonzalez is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician. Dr. Gonzalez was born and raised in Washington Heights in New York City. He attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education of the City University of New York where he obtained his Bachelor of Science. He then attended SUNY Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY where he earned his medical degree in 2002. While at SUNY Downstate he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Gonzalez subsequently completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University Medical Center in 2005. He then joined the faculty at Columbia University Medical Center with an appointment in the Division of Hospital Medicine from 2005-2013. In 2008, he was awarded the Columbia Univeristy Medical Center Physician of the Year award. In 2015 he was elected as a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Gonzalez has been in private practice since 2013. He currently also holds a part-time appointment at Columbia University Medical Center where he works as a hospitalist caring for hospitalized patients. In his spare time, Dr. Gonzalez is an avid endurance athlete. He has competed in and completed several marathons, several long distance cycling events as well as 4 IRONMAN long-distance triathlons.
